Tessa and Sophia's Great Experience By: Ashley

One day, Tessa and Sophia went to the store with their mom and dad. They live in Arizona. Tessa is 9, Sophia is 10, the mom is 40, and the dad is 41. As they walked down one aisle, they saw Hilary Duff. That was their favorite movie star. They had always wanted to meet her. They had a list of things to ask her. Whenever they saw her, they could not even breathe. Hilary asked them, "Do you want to come to my studio for singing lessons, because on Friday, you can come and meet me." They said that it would be the greatest thing in the world. So they went to bed, and it was time to fly on the plane to California. They were finally at the studio, and she gave them lessons. Tessa didn't know if she could do it or not. Sophia always believed in herself. "Here's Hilary!" they were about to scream. But, they were calm when they sang a little bit. They finally learned how to sing. Then they flew clear back to Arizona. They had said "good-bye" to Hilary Duff. She said good-bye, too. The girls told their mom how exciting it was. They were lucky to get to go back twice every year.

Ashley, I like the ways that you showed the girls' excitement. For instance, you used the words "scream" and "calm," and the phrase "they could not even breathe." Would you like to meet Hilary Duff?

Ashley, You did a great job on your story. It would be really neat if something like that did happen. The closest we have come to meeting a movie star is seeing Patrick Belein at Kroger. HAHA
