Bobby's First Day of Kindergarten By: Allison

Once there was a boy named Bobby. He was in kindergarten and was five years old. He was younger than all of the boys and girls in his classroom. He had brown hair, green eyes, and was also shorter than everyone. On the first day of school, the teacher asked the kids to write their names on the chalkboard. Bobby went up to the board, and he scribbled on it. "Bobby," said the teacher, "you have to write your name on the board - not scribble on it." Bobby was sad. He knew that he was younger than everyone else in the classroom. He went home and thought about everything. The next day, he was still very sad. Then, he got happier. He forgot everything about how he couldn't spell his name. He made a lot of friends that day. Later that day, the teacher went over to Bobby and asked him why he scribbled on the board. He said, "I really don't know how to spell my name." She told him she could help him learn how to write his name like the other kids do. Then a bright light lit up on Bobby's face. It wasn't long before he learned how to spell his name. The next time he went up to the chalkboard, he wrote B-o-b-b-y. He was proud.

Dear Allison,

What a touching story! At the beginning of the story I was getting anxious, because I know how rough it can be when its it your first day of school. I'm glad that you gave the story a happy ending! Very creative and well done!

Hi Allison!

Your story really caught my attention. Probably because I teach Kindergarten! I am glad that it had a happy ending. I would hate to think that there was a child that needed help and did not receive it.
I can't wait to read your next story!

Allison-
GREAT story!! Bobby had a BIG problem. Its nice to know he got help. I would publish that story of yours into a children's book if I were you. Also if I were you I would be very proud of myself for writing such a GREAT story! I bet no one in your class would have thought of that! You are very uniqe. That's part of what helps you with your creativity skills.
I think now in days its hard to find such creativity. Reading your story was a thrill to me! Keep up th GREAT work!
