My Town By: Alexis

Do you like your town? Is it a really neat place? I like my town because it's so quiet there. It's so quiet that you can take a two-hour nap. Once, I went to go read my book, and I read twenty pages because it was so quiet. The weather is always warm there because I live right under the sun. Sometimes the weather is sunny. It's really sunny after it rains. Sometimes the weather is so dry that it cracks your lips. Does your town have a lot of traffic? Mine doesn't! The traffic here is never full. It always goes with the flow! There is never horn honking in my town. If there is horn honking, then something is wrong. Sometimes my town has cops on every block, but there's still no traffic! The last thing I want to talk about is that there are really nice people. All my neighbors are always looking out for danger! The police are helpful and kind. The firefighters always will be there for you. Not all people are dirt eating devils!

Wow, Alexis, what a way to end your story!! I love the ending. I also like how you used different types of sentences and how you began with a question. I can tell that you really love your town. You described it very well!

Alexis,

Your questions made us think about your topic right away. We loved the ending - the boys especially are still talking about it. Good job!
