Helping Around the House By: Brittany

First of all, I have to help around the house. Do you? If you do, here's some things you can do. You can cook if your mom's busy. Cook dinner for your little or older siblings. If you get home from school and your mom's not home, cook lunch. If your mom's too tired to cook dinner, cook for her. She'll be delighted! Next, I like to clean for my mom. Get up early and clean your room. While she's still sleeping, clean the living room, but be very quiet. If your door is black because it's so dirty, clean it. Third, dust when your mom's not home. Dust glass tables and make them shine. Dust your windows so you can actually see through them. Dust your windows, and when your mom comes home, she'll say, "Wow!" Finally, wash your dog. It won't hurt. Here are the directions. First you shampoo your dog. Scrub him or her and make all the dirt come off. Lastly, rinse your dog. Your mom will come home and say, "Wow!" Helping around the house can be fun. You should try it, and it will make your mom proud.

Do help at home a lot? It sure sounds like it. I like how you used transition words and words like "delighted." It's nice that you like to surprise your mom by cleaning. I'm sure she is proud of you.
