The Day of Thanks By: Matthew H.

There are many things I'm thankful for at Thanksgiving. My family members get together to eat at Thanksgiving. They don't have to travel far because they live near the airport in Fairmont. What I like about Thanksgiving is helping my grandma make Thanksgiving dinner. My grandma told me that I'm the only one that likes to help her cook. I also like to watch the dog show and the Macy's Thankgiving Day parade with my mom, dad, sister, nephew, grandma, Uncle George, and Aunt Clydeen. My favorite food is the turkey and pumpkin pie. The day after Thanksgiving, my mom, dad, grandma, and I go bowling at the Fairmont Bowling Alley. I always win, but this year, I'm going to let my grandma win. She won a bowling trophy when she was on a bowling team. Being with my family makes me happy because I don't get to see them a lot. For that, I am truly thankful!
